My brother is a total badass!

Let me paint you a picture. Imagine you’re in a classroom, more precisely, a classroom made for 6 year olds. Think of tiny, colorful chairs and desks; abstract fingerprint drawings pinned on the walls; the alphabet and their corresponding pictures; the teacher’s desk in one corner and whole bunch of squealing kids sitting in their chairs, fidgeting under the watchful eyes of their parents.

In the US, it is career day- a day where parents come to school to discuss their jobs with students, whether the kid is hiding their head in embarrassment, watching their parent talk about marketing or beaming and bragging about who cool it is to have a dad as a firefighter.

At present, 6 year old Estelle was one of those wild little kids. Her brother, Percy Jackson was a federal agent who worked for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and she was quite proud of him. The little princess, as Percy often took to calling her, sat in the front of the class, currently jabbering to her friends about God-knows what.

Meanwhile, the group of parents stood at one side of the classroom, discussing business and waiting for the one person still yet to come and present their job.

All of a sudden, there was big, burly man in the doorway, waving his shotgun vividly. A few kids screamed, and parents hugged their kids protectively. Shooting his gun once into the air, the gunm23wwan waited for the inevitable silence that was going to come.

And sure in enough the room exploded with a deafening silence.

Grinning wickedly, the desperado said, “Now that is taken care of, why don’t you all come down here and kneel down like good little dogs, eh?”.

“Oh, I don’t think so, buddy.” A new voice replied.

The gunman turned around and came face to face with deadly end of a gun.

“What?! Where is…?”

Snorting Percy responded, “Where are the 3 thugs that were supposed to ‘guarding’ the door? You see, I actually met them on the way here, and I might have accidentally tripped them. Now, by reasons that absolutely have no connection to me at all, they are all lying on the floor unconscious”

Tough guy gaped at him, opening, and shutting his mouth like a goldfish.

“Sorry about that by the way” Percy added as an afterthought.

“Now, could you please put the gun down and kick it as far as possible. No actually lets make this interesting, for every extra meter you kick the gun away from you, the one less bone I break in your body if you try to move, savvy?”

Taking out his hand cuffs, he cuffed the petty criminal and sat with him until Percy could hear the police sirens.

Nodding to teacher Percy said, “Well, I guess you’ll have to be continuing Career day without me”.

And with that flourish, Percy kissed Estelle’s cheek, promised to take her out for ice-cream later and exited the class.

He never noticed the half proud have smug look on Estelle’s face, as she looked at her friends with a ‘I told you so’ expression.
