Revenge round the mountain

On a road trip to New York

“She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes, she’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes, oh she’ll….”

“Oh, for goodness sake Jack! Shut up!”

“Hey don’t hate. My voice is meldious”

“Its melodious jack, and I’ve got to agree with Mac this time”

“Oh no not you too Riles. Seriously, is it whump Jack day?”

Mac just smirked. “So whats the hitch?”.

Typing on her keyboard at 20 clicks per second, Riley bought the trio up to speed.

“A bomb was found near the United Nations,”, she started gravely, looking at Mac, “they need you to disable it”. “Can’t anyone else do it?” asked Mac. “Nope. They said it looked like The Ghost’s work”.

The car almost swerved of the road. “Did they Evacuate?”, replied Mac once he had gotten his breathing back to normal. “Yes, but…” “But…?”, Jack prompted. Riley took a deep breath, “But there’s still a whole group of federal agents that would not leave”. “What? Why?” Mac questioned. “Well according to this, the team had a tipoff for a terrorist they were tracking. Apparently, one of them spotted the terrorist and went after him, only the agent stepped on the pressure plat.” She said wincing. “Ooh boy-” jack inserted. “Yup”, Riley confirmed.

“How long ago was this?”, Mac asked. “6 hours ago”, Riley breathed out. Jack took a sharp intake of breath. “And he didn’t go kaboom yet?” “Jack! but no he didn’t go kaboom yet. Reports say he hasn’t moved an inch for the last 6 hours”. “Wow! That’s got to take some serious will power! Not to mention strength.” Riley gasped dramatically. “Are you saying that the great Jack Dalton actually admires someone he hasn’t met yet?!”. Mac chuckled when Jack actually pouted, “Sorry man, you walked right into that one”.

You’re not getting away this time Ghost. You’ve hurt way too many people, and I’d be damned if you blow up a foundation that has kept the world out of war for years. Mac thought.

After 20 min of comfortable silence, Riley spoke, “Here, park right there, we reached”.

Parking the car, Mac put the paperclip he had reformed on the dashboard.

It was time for revenge.
